Overview
Birla White ranks among the top 10 white cement players in the world. Over the years, we have introduced an array of value-added products and have established our place as a premium white cement player.

We were rewarded with success in our journey of expansion. So, we decided to give back to society by scaling up our CSR programmes. We have initiated rural development programs and services in various areas. These include developments in the areas of education, health & hygiene, women empowerment, microfinance, sustainable livelihood, livestock development, and infrastructure development.
Vision
"To actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate. By doing so, we hope to build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society, raising the country’s human index."

Healthcare

Health is one of the key indicators that influences the HDI (Human Development Index) growth of any country. As of today, rural India is home to over 68% of India’s total population, half of which is living below the poverty line. These people struggle to find better and easy access to healthcare.

The health issues that they battle range from communicable diseases to non-communicable diseases. Some of these include malaria, diabetes, flu, and so on. Postpartum maternal illness is another serious problem in rural India, and it contributes to maternal mortality.

Most of these problems arise due to a lack of education & resources. Hence, to minimise these gaps, we have initiated various healthcare service setups for the rural community. With these, we aim to meet the Millennium Development Goals (WHO) such as reducing child mortality, improving maternal health, and combating diseases like malaria, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and so on.
Education

Education

India has the world's largest youth population. The future of our nation rides on their shoulders, and that’s why it is important that they are given access to quality education. The majority of India’s youth comes from rural areas where getting access to education is a challenge.

Through our CSR initiatives, we are trying to encourage and empower students across India. We’re actively awarding scholarships, recognising academic performances, developing talent, conducting activities & workshops, and so on. We aim to inspire a generation of students to aspire for academic excellence despite the shortcomings they may face.
Sustainable Livelihood

Sustainable Livelihood

We understand the importance of a sustainable livelihood for there to be a better standard of living. Through our rural CSR initiatives, we strive to develop and harness the different abilities people have so that self-sufficiency can be generated.

With an array of initiatives such as women’s self-help groups, computer training, beauty courses, motor rewinding programs, and tailoring centres, we are in the process of helping numerous individuals realise their goals, achieve them, and earn a livelihood.
Infrastructure Development

Infrastructure Development

We have started CSR interventions near our plans in various areas. This has led to a better, more stable infrastructure. Along with this, it has also helped improve the standard of living and general life quality in these places.

A few examples of these are the construction of roads in Kharia Khangar, the renovation of a community centre at Dhanappa, the creation of a drainage system in Merasia, and so on. Through our efforts, we hope to continue doing more and more infrastructure projects and help more people.
Social Welfare

Social Welfare

Birla White is a well-known name today because of the society’s faith in us. So, we hope to give back to it and help enrich lives.

Through our various welfare programs, we address healthcare issues, education problems, and focus on enhancing the overall lives of those around us. We also organise social meets, distribute essential goods to those in need, hold Aadhar Card camps, and do plantation drive. We hope that through our efforts, we contribute to the upliftment of society.
