It is a polymer modified, White Cement-based thin-set tile adhesive for fixing ceramic, semi-vitreous tile & small to medium format natural stones. It is suitable for horizontal surfaces and vertical surfaces up to a height of 3 meters, over the cementitious substrate for indoor application in dry as well as wet areas. It is also recommended for Tile-On-Tile application.

SURFACE PREPARATION :
All surfaces should be between 40° F(4°C) and 104° F(40°C) and structurally sound, clean and free of all dirt, oil, grease, loose peeling paint, laitance, concrete sealers or curing compounds. Check the surface to be true to plumb.
All slabs must be plumb and true to within ¼” (6mm) in 10 ft(3m). Rough or uneven concrete surfaces should be made smooth with Screed/Plaster material to provide a wood float (or better) finish.
Dry, dusty concrete slabs or masonry should be dampened, and excess water swept off.
Installation may be made on a damp surface. New concrete slabs shall be damp cured and 28 days old before application.
Expansion joints to be provided & filled with suitable sealant.
Do not cover expansion joints with thin set tile adhesive/ tile.
Application Procedure:

Approx. 55-60 ft2/ 20 Kg bag at 3 mm thickness using 6 mm x 6 mm square notched trowel. *Coverage will vary depending on trowel notch size, type and size of tile and substrate smoothness and evenness.
Grouting
Grouting should be carried out after 24 hours of tiling. Use the appropriate grouting material from Birla White range of tile grouts.

For 20 Kg bag of TILESTIX INTERO GRIP+, one needs 4.8 to 5.2 litres of water. Mix water depending upon the consistency of mix required and ambient environmental conditions.
For vitrified tiles or Glass mosaic tiles, one has to choose high polymer adhesives like TileStix Vitribind or above.
The maximum size of ceramic tile is 450mm X 450mm for installation with TILESTIX INTERO GRIP+ add water. If you are installing tiles larger than this size ask Birla White team member for a suitable thin set adhesive.
For external tile installations, the thermal stresses are critical and would need adhesive to become accommodative to the movements arising from these stresses, Use TileStix Extero to install tiles on external surfaces.
